Let me start off by saying that I am a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Have been since I was a kid. So when I showed up to the McDevitt kids
donned in their Philly Eagles' finest....well, let's just say I almost
turned around and left. Totally kidding. I thought it was such a fun way
to get some great photos of the kids without them super dressed up.
Sometimes it's fun to go in a different direction. Carson and Brenna
were in the same class last year and the two of them along with Michael,
hit it off really well. There were lots of playdates over the summer
and I'm so happy that Carson has a BFF right around the corner. It
definitely doesn't hurt that all of the McDevitt's are crazy nice
people. Eddie (mom) and I get along great and we both seem to have a
very go-with-the-flow vibe. It's hard to find people like that. Yes
everything in life is fast paced. I can't even imagine how fast it is
with four kids (maybe one day I'll get smacked in the face with that
reality!) But mom and dad must be doing something right....these kids
are superstars. They play instruments, they play sports, they are in
tons of extra activities and clubs. I can't even keep track...I tip my
hat to Eddie for being able to. I am so happy that we have such good
friends right in our neighborhood! We took a stroll through Stumpy Lake, almost walked into a million spider webs, we were smacking bugs off of each other the ENTIRE time......but it was SOOOOO worth the beautiful, glowy light that we found at the end of our hike.

Brenna is the perfect mix of tomboy and girly girl. Hence the big bow with the jersey =]
I LOVE how Michael is looking at his little sister in this one!
I was fully expecting a teen, diva moment from Josie when it came to taking family pictures. She definitely proved me wrong. She did great!
Walter is a man of few words. He did work with me on smiling in most of the pictures, and he had one simple request.....a Captain-Morgan-esque photo with his walking stick.
Oohhhh the fun things you get to do when you are working with four kids!
Again, I was nervous about how Michael would feel about taking family pictures. I'm pretty sure he had a lot more fun than he thought he would. He did great!
These two requested a jumping shot. Add a little sunflare.....yes please!
be silly. be honest. be kind.
