Corinne's Maternity Session

Oh man did this session push baby fever into full throttle! Corinne booked a session with me WEEKS ago and the weather kept pushing us back. Seriously, it was getting to the point where I thought she was going to end up having Carley before we got a chance to do this! I posted about wanting someone to do a sunrise session and she was going to. But the weather had other plans. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be though because the beach on this day was perfect. The temperature was great, one of the last hazy summer suns was setting, everything really worked out for us in the end. Corinne was SUCH a great model! Seriously, she rocked the belly and gave me the best smirks, smiles and serious faces ever. This was the first time I've ever shot an adult by themselves. I was nervous of course (seriously, do these nerves ever go away?), but she brought such good energy that those nerves washed away pretty quick. I'm really not sure where all of the happy, go-with-the-flow attitude came from. When I was at the point in each of my pregnancies where she is, that was long gone. So I definitely appreciated that she came with the best attitude possible! Carley will be here any day now and I am so excited for Corinne and her family =]

Maternity sessions are fun. I will admit that I was feeling some serious guilt with the whole up and down, up and down gig. Corinne was a trooper and didn't complain at all. She even went so far as to say "this is for your portfolio, so we can do whatever you want." Seriously? When did I get so lucky? My clients so far have really made me question why I didn't decide to pursue photography earlier.

The water was a little cold haha

Corinne wanted to throw in some cheesy shots. =]

We forgot to take her glasses off for this one. But I love it SO much. I couldn't not post it. It's one of my favs!

I'm pretty sure it was at this point where the stupid sand spurs started to get us.
I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Corinne's patience with me!
