10 Things You Might Not Know About Me

I thought it would be fun to compile a list of stuff that you might not know about me. Not every single fact will be new to everyone, but I just thought it would be cool to let my readers know a little more about me. For the record, coming up with 10 random facts about yourself is no easy feat. I am really trying to come up with some things that even my closest friends don't know. Nothing earth shattering here though people. We all have skeletons in our closet and I am not going to start taking them out here. Side note, I always seem to use the same pictures of myself. I don't have that many to choose from. Maybe I should get out from behind the camera once in a while. What if I go missing and they need an updated picture? Just a thought. Anyway, here they are. 10 random things about me. What are some weird, quirky things about you?

1. In high school I got to school by 6:45am....the first bell didn't ring until 7:15. I just used to like to roam the halls in the morning. I also used to stay after school for no reason. I used to hang out in different classrooms. Looking back now I have no idea why I did this. It's so bizarre to me.

2. I used to be pretty fluent in Spanish. To the point where me and one of my friends would have our whole conversation in Spanish. She was Puerto Rican and they spoke Spanglish in her house. With the help of my four years of Spanish, I did the same thing.

3. Pretty sure I am the worlds biggest homebody. I am completely fine staying at home every single day, even weekends. Although I do wish for maybe a week vacation once a year. Otherwise, you can find me at the house. It's always been this way. As a kid I was always very concerned about when we were going home.

4. I had an epiphany in high school that changed my life forever. Long story short, I was cheated on and every single one of my "friends" knew and no one told me. When I found out, I completely dropped all of them. Do you know how weird it is to lose every single friend when you are in high school? It sucked big time. But at 15 I developed the I don't give a fuck attitude that I have now and it has stuck with me ever since. Now I'm grateful for it, very little actually gets under my skin.

5. Besides the family Vernon and I have made, I have four family members. I only talk to two. I don't talk to my mother or my sister. The list of reasons would be another whole blog post. It's a sad situation, but it's better this way.

6. I am spiritual but not all. I used to go to church four times a week. Somewhere along the line I realized that I could think for myself and didn't necessarily have  to believe in everything that I was "supposed" to. I believe in karma and you get what you put out. Just be a good person damn it. Not because a god or 1,587 gods tell you to. It's not that hard. Kindness is the new black, wear that shit.

7. Hearing people chew is the most disgusting sound in the world. I don't even like to hear myself chew. I will move across the room if I have to. I've made Carson move to a different seat so I couldn't hear her. Even with your mouth closed....I can still hear it.

8. I have never not had a pet. I can't even imagine a life without pets. They are the biggest pain in the ass but I love them so. NO ONE is as happy to see you every damn day as your dog. I can count on one hand how many actual friends I have. I'm ok with that as long as I have a dog.

9. Sometimes I think about how different my life would be if I had actually committed to one of the things I love at some point. I wanted to be a veterinarian since before I could say it. Seriously, "pet doctor" was it for me until I got to high school Chemistry. Boy was that a slap in the face. Also with sports, I used to be pretty good at gymnastics and I wonder what would have happened if I stuck with it. Same for softball. I also thought about being an interior designer at one point when I used to watch Trading Spaces on TLC religiously. I would sketch rooms and everything. Which is funny because my house is by FAR not decorated as it should be. I love looking at houses so much. I bet I could be a home designer too. Ehh so much effort at this point.

10. If all social media was shut down tomorrow (besides blogs), I would be perfectly ok.
