Spring & Giant Heads

Well it's official. Spring is here! As excited as I am that it is a mild 54 degrees outside right now, the fact that there was/is a possibility of snow flurries tomorrow morning makes me want to go back into hibernation mode. I'm so over the cold. I'm ready to just have the windows open everyday and enjoy the sun and breeze.

Friday is going to be my last day at work until after I have Chandler. That means that I will be off one week by myself and then the following week is Carson's spring break and that's when I am "due." Due dates are such a waste of time for me. I recently read somewhere that only 5% of babies are born on their actual due date. Carson was two weeks late and that's only because I was induced. I swear if I hadn't been induced there would be a 6 year old unborn child in me right now.

The doctor told me that if you go over with your first one, it's a big chance that you'll go over with your second too. Oh, and the kicker? The second child is usually bigger. Wonderful. Carson was 8lb 14oz. Chandler was measuring at 6lb 14oz at my 36 week appointment....over two weeks ago. I'm sure he's over 8lb now. The doctors have also been tip-toeing around the fact that his head is in the 97.7th percentile. At my 36 week appointment I was 35 weeks and 6 days, his head? 39 weeks and 2 days. It's comical. The doctors were hesitant to go over this with me. They're not aware that Carson's head has been in the 97th percentile from day 1. I grow giant, big headed babies. What can I say? I'm talented.
